painted concrete patio ideasSummer’s ramping up and you’re probably excited about getting some use out of your patio. There’s nothing better than relaxing outside on a warm summer evening with a cold drink and good company.

There’s only one problem. You feel like your patio space looks a little dull and boring.

Why not spice it up by painting the concrete ? Check out these 5 painted concrete patio ideas for some inspiration!

1. Bold, Bright Colors

Bold, bright colors are such a fun way to liven up a space. The concrete patio floor is the perfect place to use them. With all the furniture around to break it up, the color pops without being overwhelming.

The right single color can look nice. Just make sure to coordinate it with your furniture and maybe toss in an accent color in the furnishings. You can also choose 2 or 3 colors and make a pattern out of it. The possibilities are endless!

2. Geometric Patterns

Geometric patterns are popular this year in interior decorating. Who says that you can’t use them outside as well?

If you don’t like bright colors, this is a great way to make a bold statement with a more muted color set. Or you can go completely crazy and use both bright colors and a geometric pattern together. That’s sure to get some attention!

3. Single, Central Image

Patios are a great place for showcasing a single, central image. The image can be whatever you want.

Interesting images make for a great conversation piece. Something with personal meaning for you is also a fantastic idea. Or, the image can be a simple pattern or design that is interesting to look at. It’s up to you!

4. Repeating Pattern of Images

In lieu of a single image in the center of the floor, you can choose a smaller image and repeat it at equal intervals. Simple designs work best for this or it can get overwhelming quickly.

You can make them as big or as small as you like. And space them in a way that makes sense for your patio space.

5. Painted Rug

Here’s a fun idea. Instead of throwing down an outdoor rug on your patio, you can paint one on the floor.

Take inspiration from your favorite rug designs. A complicated Persian rug design might get a little expensive, but there are plenty of simple rug designs that would make a great addition to your patio.

Get creative with it and the results just might amaze you!
