wall painting designsAre you stuck deciding on the right color of paint for your home?

Wall painting designs can be time-consuming when you’re dealing with smaller rooms. You don’t want to pick the wrong color and make the room look small or dark.

To make the process easier, we have a few easy tips. Let’s get started.

Don’t Be Afraid to Go Bold

Although you might want to stir away from bold colors when dealing with a small room, it doesn’t always have to be the case.

While for the sake of the room we don’t recommend you paint any small room bright neon colors, you can add a pop of color.

Pick a bright color that will be timeless like a dark blue, green, or off gray. Reds, oranges, or others in the same color scheme aren’t recommended.

If you’re not ready to paint a small room a bold color, you can always opt for an accent wall. Paint the focal wall a bold color to make the room come to life. And if you’re feeling adventurous, you can do a striped accent wall.

Make a Small Room Cozy

Some small rooms are meant to be cozy. This is the case for TV rooms, a study, or a man cave.

If a room is already small and you want to create a cozy and personal feel, there’s nothing wrong with picking dark colors.

To spruce up the room and make it more sophisticated, ensure you paint the trimmings a light color.

Yellow: You’ll Thank Us in the Winter Months

No one thinks of yellow as the “ go to color ” in wall painting designs, but there are so many benefits.

Yellow is the perfect color to let in the light and make the most of the natural reflection.

It’s perfect for a home office when you want to make the most of natural light because you want to work in a place that seems cheerful and inspiring.

In the winter months, you’ll want to enjoy the light as much as possible.

Reshape a Room

You might be dealing with an oddly shaped room and small room. Well with the help of paint, you can help give it a more uniform shape.

If you have a rectangular room and you want it to look more like a square, you could paint the shorter walls a few shades darker. This will create a closer appearance.

Avoid White

It might be first instinct to want to paint a small space white, but white might not give you the effect you want. A white room often just ends up looking like a box and not have a definition.

If you choose to paint a small room light, go for an off-white color such as a beige, or cream, as it will give the room a bit more personality.
